Birch Bay. Washington

A Fisherman Blessing Vessel was placed along the berm in Birch Bay, Washington.  "The Berm" was the largest project Whatcom County Public Works has ever done! This completed project restores the natural shoreline, protects the roadway from storm damage, and supports pedestrian safety with a separated berm that runs from the mouth of Terrell Creek (Lora Lane) to Cedar Avenue approximately 1.58 miles in length along the beach. It's a beautiful walk and hopefully, someone will find and report the blessing.

Northwest Washington

A Native American blessing is on a bench along the Birch Bay pathway. The pathway along the bay if very easy to traverse and family friendly.  The views are beautiful and if you’re looking to hit the beach and don’t want to pay for the day use fee at the state park then you might want to visit here. There are large areas of parking/access in central Birch Bay, but there are also smaller more private beaches located all the way from there down to the state park entrance.

A Hawiian blessing was left on a bench overlocking the International Peace Arch.  It is a 67-foot dramatic white arch that rises from the green lawns and flowering gardens on the U.S.-Canada border at Blaine. It is the iconic feature of this Washington Historical State Park, which is devoted to peace and serenity. Peace Arch is unique among parks because it consists of two parks in two countries. The southern half of the park is owned by Washington State Parks and the northern half is owned by British Columbia Parks.

A fisherman vessel was placed on a rock at the entrance of Point Whitehorn Marine Park.  This is a fifty-four acre Marine Reserve located in Blaine, Washington.  A lovely forested moderate hiking trail leads to an overlook with glorious views of the Straight of Georgia and the San Juan islands.  There is a switchback path leading from the bluff to a beach, but the path down is a little steep.  This hike is a must for visitors to the area.

White Rock, B.C. is a wonderful little city with hundreds of restaurants serving every type of food imaginable, along with beautiful parks and beaches.  We chose the boardwalk in White Rock to place an Irish blessing vessel when we decided to visit our all time favorite restaurant there, Cilantro Indian Cuisine.  It is just across the street from the Pier and Promenade, so and it was a logical next choice.  Moreover, we placed it on Canada Day.  Lots of folks were out celebrating and enjoying the lovely day, and we hope someone discovers the blessing and reports it on Canada's special day.
